de Yurre (UDO, Unidentified Digging Object)

Om de Yurre na de bouwen was ik al lange tijd opzoek naar een geschikte boot. Om de twee luiken bovenin mee te kunnen nemen in het ontwerp, moest er een brede en lange boot komen, zodat deze als een indrukwekkende verschijning, eigenwijs de lucht in kon priemen.

Toevallig stuitte ik op een LEGO boot die schijnbaar afkomstig was van een Belville set. De onderkant zaagde ik schuin af, zodat hij schuin omhoog op de grond kon komen te staan en ik spoot de boot zwart.

Nu ik een zwarte boot had, besloot ik de bouw dit keer anders aan te pakken dan anders. Maakte ik voorheen eerst een digitaal ontwerp, zodat ik daarna de benodigde blokjes kon bestellen, nu besloot ik het binnenwerk van de Yurre te bouwen met de blokjes die ik in m’n inmiddels uitgedijde verzameling had.

Het grootste probleem dat ik had, was dat de onderkant van het schip schuin vast moest komen te zitten op de grondplaat en de boot mocht uiteraard niet omvallen. Met een verzwaring uit een 12V trein locomotief en een aantal kantelblokjes lukte dat uiteindelijk. Hier het resultaat:

LEGO-World 2009
